Stratospheric Balloon Project

An ambitious team project to explore the stratosphere using a self-built weather balloon. After an intensive preparation phase with technical challenges, our probe successfully ascended into the upper stratosphere and delivered spectacular images of the Earth's curvature.

Stratospheric Balloon Project

Together as a team, we sent a self-built probe into the stratosphere via weather balloon to collect video footage and measurement data. Earlier launch attempts sharpened our understanding of material resilience and system reliability. The final launch succeeded: the balloon reached the upper stratosphere, the probe recorded footage of Earth's curvature and the blackness of space. After an adventurous landing, we recovered the probe and all data intact. A formative experience in applied engineering, project planning, and resilience.
